The Llano Bonito Nature Reserve is a privately protected forest area in Costa Rica. Here, new habitats are being created through reforestation, care, and the protection of native biodiversity. Every contribution secures square meters of rainforest and creates a future: for people, animals, and the climate.

What we do on site.
This is how we protect the rainforest.

PLANTING TREES

We plant only native tree species that promote the natural balance and regenerate the rainforest. Every planting is a step back towards biodiversity – and a contribution to climate protection.

PROTECT ANIMALS FROM POACHERS

Together with local teams, we detect and stop poaching early. In this way, we protect habitats for endangered species such as ocelots, sloths, and many more.

ERECTING FENCES

Discreetly placed protected zones safeguard sensitive areas from human intrusion. They help to preserve young trees and wildlife in the long term.

LOCAL ENLIGHTENMENT

We conduct workshops and training courses to promote sustainable alternatives to deforestation. This raises awareness and creates new perspectives – for people and nature.
